Viva runs two gas safety awareness courses designed specifically for non-technical staff – landlords, estate agents and home helpers – working within the social housing sector or in residential premises (such as care homes).
What will you learn?
The types of gas used in domestic dwellings and the requirements for correct combustion
The effects that Carbon Monoxide can have on the human body,
Appropriate use of Carbon Monoxide detectors
How to identify the signs of an appliance which has combustion/flue/ventilation problems
The requirements for landlords under the Gas Safety Regulations,
The requirements for gas installers to work legally in domestic properties,
The actions necessary in the event of gas leak or report of fumes
What qualification will you receive?
LCL Awards Level 2 Award in Gas Safety Awareness in Social Housing
Or
LCL Awards Level 2 Award in Gas Safety Awareness in Residential Premises
Entry Requirements: There are no pre-requisites for either qualification.
